Crafted in Vilupulli, Chonchi, on the Grand Island of Chiloé by the artisan Melisa Carolina, who preserves the oldest traditions of this island where Huilliche and Spanish cultures blend, creating a mixture of myths and traditions that are still preserved to this day.
Her work is done manually on a Chilote loom (kelgwo), and one piece can take more than two weeks to create. Combed and spun using natural wool.
The wool is dyed with natural pigments and plant materials.
This poncho is 100% Wool and 100% handmade in the Chilean Patagonia.

These instructions are for this specific product only. This product is made out of wool and the instructions below apply to this material and this product only:
- You can hand-wash this product
- Use cold water only
- Use mild detergent only, we recommend using a detergent made for washing baby clothing.
- Let the product soak in a bowl of cold water with a mild detergent for a couple of hours. Then wash away the detergent with cold water.
- Allow drying out in open air over a flat surface
- You can put the Poncho inside a tightly closed sheet to tumble-dry (very low setting) to get the excess water out. The sheet has to be tightly closed around the Poncho so it doesn't move around. Otherwise, it will lose its shape.
- Do not hang the Poncho or it will lose its shape
- Do not machine wash
- Do not dry-clean
- Do not use bleach or use chlorine
- Do not iron
- Do not squeeze or use a spin-drier
